ERA hosts first digital franchisee training session

Franchise Expo Paris postponed due to COVID-19

In light of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, Paris’ key franchise event has been postponed.

Franchise Expo Paris was previously pushed back until 24-27 May, 2020, due to the original date being interrupted by the emerging concern around the coronavirus.

Due to the situation still being an international pandemic, Reed Expositions Franchise, in agreement with the French Franchise Federation, has announced that the 2020 edition of Franchise Expo Paris will take place from October 4-7, in the same location – Pavilions 2&3, Porte de Versailles, Paris – as previously scheduled.

Yum! Brands CEO forgoes salary

David Gibbs, CEO of Yum! Brands, has announced that he will forego his salary and donate in the form of bonuses for managers and to an employee relief fund, according to an article in QSR.

His salary will be used to create one-time $1,000 bonuses to 1,200 general managers at company-owned KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell, and The Habit Burger Grill restaurants. The rest of the money will be donated to the Yum! Brands Foundation Global Employee Medical Relief Fund, which provides financial support to those affected by COVID-19.

TaxAssist Accountants ramps up support and creates dedicated coronavirus hub

TaxAssist Accountants has rolled out a series of new initiatives to its network and created a dedicated coronavirus hub on its client-facing website.

Staff at the TaxAssist Accountants Support Centre worked together to ensure the franchise’s network of accountants and their 76,000 clients are kept up to date the with latest developments during a time of unprecedented turmoil and change caused by the COVID-19 outbreak.
