Multiple Olympic gold medallist Usain Bolt is an equity partner in a deal between Jamaican company Franjam and CDRG which will see the opening of 15 Tracks & Records restaurants across the UK over the next five years. CDRG is a sister company to the SME Group which operates under franchise license over 120 restaurants and hotels.
The restaurants will specialise in authentic Jamaica cuisine, serving up jerk pork, pan chicken, janga soup (crayfish) and other West Indian favourites.
Bolt said: “I’m happy to be able to share a taste of the Jamaica that I know and love with the rest of the world through the opening of these restaurants across the UK – London has always been a special place for me and I thank Aly for giving us the opportunity to share our vision and our culture with you all.”
