The Taiwanese bubble tea brand plans additional expansion for this year.
Gong Cha, a growing Taiwanese bubble tea brand with more than 1,400 locations in 19 countries, is planning to continue its international growth throughout 2021 and is actively seeking new franchisees in North America, Europe, and Latin America.

In 2020, Gong Cha opened 220 new stores around the world, including 36 North American sites in Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. In the U.S., the brand is looking to expand its presence in existing and new markets, including New York, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, and Denver.
In addition to its growing market presence, Gong Cha plans to introduce new menu items in 2021, including the February launch of the company’ Chocolate Lava Series. In April, it will introduce a Heart Shaped Jelly Series of bubble tea, as well.
