Notable highlights from the event include DAS FUTTERHAUS Franchise GmbH & Co. KG taking home the Franchisor of the Year 2020 award, following significantly increasing sales figures, location growth, and above-average partner satisfaction.

This makes the franchisor one of the exemplary players in the German franchise industry.”

Franchise Founder of the Year, meanwhile, went to Toni Geisshirt, partner of World of Pizza. “Toni Geisshirt has achieved above-average success in the highly competitive delivery market,” said Stephan Jansen, MD of the Association of German Guarantee Banks. “With a significant overshoot of planned sales already at the beginning of the year, he has been exceptionally successful in starting his own business.”

This year, the Green Franchise Award went to beverage franchise vomFASS, for its dedication to a sustainable concept across all of its 300 locations. “This year’s prizewinner has convinced as a role model for ecology, economy and social issues,” said Markus Elberg, MD of Janny’s Eis Franchise. “Sustainable action is the foundation of the company. A mature strategy that ensures future viability and stable growth worldwide and speaks for a deeply rooted sense of responsibility.”

This year’s judging panel consisted of Dr. Martin Ahlert (International Centre for Franchising and Cooperation), Veronika Bellone (Bellone FRANCHISE CONSULTING GmbH), Markus Elberg (Jannys Eis, winner of the Green Franchise Award 2019), Stephan Jansen (Verband Deutscher Bürgschaftsbanken e.
