The Texas-style barbecue concept opened three new international locations in Singapore, Japan, and the United Arab Emirates, and 63 total locations in that same quarter.
With the promotion of Jim Perkins in July as the executive vice president of international sales, the barbeque brand has managed to expand its international footprint to six locations, with plans for three more in Q3.
“There is undoubtedly a demand for Dickey’s Legit. Texas. Barbecue overseas,” said Laura Rea Dickey, CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “Our notable Q2 performance proved that. And it’s not just Dickey’s that’s seeing successful results – our virtual brands are keeping up the same fast pace. Dickey’s Restaurant Brands has much to look forward to in the next quarter and beyond.”
Dickey’s other restaurant brands have made significant strides too, with both Wing Boss and Big Deal Burger increase the number of locations they operate from by 24 per cent, with Wing Boss situated to open its first brick and mortar location in September. Monthly sales for both brands are high too, with sales for both increasing by 315 per cent from March to June.
Dickey’s was founded in 1941 by Travis Dickey and has grown to 550 locations across the United States with three further international locations.
