Firehouse Subs has announced the opening of its first Alaska location in Fairbanks. Owners of the new outlet are fourth and fifth generation Alaskans Greg and Catharine Persinger. For the brand, the opening marks its expansion into its 45th state.
Catharine said, “When a local sub shop closed in Fairbanks, we knew we wanted to bring our community a great brand like Firehouse Subs.”
The new Fairbanks restaurant décor reflects the brand’s long-standing connections with the fire and police service and scenes include nanook fishing and water rafting. The first Firehouse Subs was opened in 1994.
