Rockin’ Jump: Join The Franchise That’s Jumping!

More than a trampoline park, the Rockin’ Jump franchise offers a range of exciting activities that provide fitness through fun, says Jonathan Wright

“What made you decide to invest in a Rockin’ Jump Franchise?” I asked Scott Rose of Amphibious Holdings, and owner of the recently-opened Rockin’ Jump franchise in Ridge Hill, Yonkers, NYC. Scott is co-owner of five additional Rockin’ Jumps, with three more in development.

“The people,” he replied.

It’s the same answer you get from any of the Rockin’ Jump franchisees. They are lured by the family fun aspect of the parks and once they meet Co-Founder Mark Collopy and the rest of the team, they are sold. Rockin’ Jump honestly lives and breathes the family, fun and fitness lifestyle they have parlayed into the rapidly-growing ‘Ultimate Trampoline Park®’, with 31 opened parks in the US and one in Thailand. As well as this, Rockin’ Jump boasts 83 pending franchises opening over the next two years, positioning it as one of the fastest-growing international entertainment franchises.

Based in Pleasanton, CA, Rockin’ Jump was founded in 2010 by husband and wife couples Andrew and Sue Wilson and Marc and Michelle Collopy, who saw a need for a place where people of any age could exercise while having fun. After months of planning, the couples came up with the concept of building a family-friendly entertainment park. In May of 2011, their vision became a reality when the first Rockin’ Jump opened in their home town of Dublin, CA.

According to Rockin’ Jump Co-Founder and EVP, Franchise Sales, Marc Collopy, “It took a lot of grueling hours and many sleepless nights to open our first park, but it was well worth it. Because of this experience we know intimately what each franchisee goes through during the opening process, both physically and mentally, and we can walk them through it from a personal perspective. In fact we built our corporate team with that in mind, knowing that these franchisees would sometimes need guidance and hand-holding and at other times, guidance and motivation. We are here to help them through every step of that process.”

“At Rockin’ Jump, safety is our number one priority. We’ve developed an exclusive safety program called JumpSafe® to help our guests and our staff ensure that every experience at Rockin’ Jump aligns with our core standards and each area of our parks is monitored by the Staff Jump Patrol,” says Sue Wilson, Co-Founder and Founding member of the ATSM trampoline safety standards committee.

Rockin’ Jump isn’t just trampolines. It is also Vertical Ops Rock climbing walls, Slam Dunk zones, X-Beam Jousting, Ninja Challenge Obstacle Course, Trip Wire laser maze, Air Bag pit, Dodge Ball areas and there’s so much more in development. Enter the Zip Glider, being developed in partnership with Extreme Engineering for the Dublin park initially. The Zip Glider is a roller coaster that hangs from the ceiling and will be the first of its kind in any trampoline park in the world.

Rockin’ Jump also reports that guests burn up to 1000 calories per hour during their trampoline work-outs which provide a wide array of health benefits, from strengthening the heart to stimulating the metabolism.

In addition to its fun fitness attractions, Rockin’ Jump is constantly creating new programs to serve its guests:

  • Rockin’ Jump parks all have seating areas for parents, complete with massage chairs, free wi-fi, and full-screen TVs which monitor the park’s different activity areas so parents can keep an eye on their kids. This also allows for some much-needed adult time for the parents to catch up with each other (or their emails!).
  • Participating Rockin’ Jumps also have a program called Rockin’ Shop that allows parents to drop off children aged 10 and up for a couple hours while they run errands, shop or dine without the kids.
  • Rockin’ Tots is a program that creates a safety zone for toddlers in which they can jump safely during specific hours, so parents don’t need to worry about them.
  • Rockin’ Jump has tried to make sure there is something for every age group and special need, making the park a valuable service to each community and not just a fun place to go.

Each park also features several private party rooms that are available for rent to host birthday parties or corporate events, and most parks have on-site cafés. These birthday parties have become a stable of the Rockin’ Jump business model because they have made it so simple. They handle everything from hosting and decorating to the food and games, while keeping the kids entertained so parents can enjoy the party and not miss a precious moment. Mommy bloggers across the country continue to sing the praises of the Rockin’ Jump birthday events and Rockin’ Jump has seen an increase in the private rooms being booked for church youth group events and business team building events. “It’s all about utilizing the space and resources you have and optimizing and monetizing every square foot,” says Drew Wilson, Co-Founder.

Rockin’ Jump expects to have over 130 parks operating in the U.S. and 50 international parks by 2020.

Rockin’ Jump Franchise, LLC is a privately-held corporation headquartered in Pleasanton, CA. The first Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Park opened in 2011 in Dublin, CA and in 2016, the company now operates 31 US parks and one in Thailand, with a total of 130 US parks and 50 international parks planned by 2020. Rockin’ Jump Trampoline Parks are family-friendly and focus on clean, safe fun featuring trampolines, foam pits, airbag pits, X beams, vertical rock climbing walls and laser tag mazes. Rockin’ Jump is a founding member of the ASTM International Committee dedicated to establishing trampoline park safety standards and making its guests’ safety its highest priority.
