Following a string of multi-unit agreements and exciting developments, this “better chicken” brand has leaped beyond a notable hurdle.
Slim Chickens may not be the largest chicken franchise on the scene, but it’s certainly one of the most dedicated. It was only recently that we covered the brand’s continuous U.K. expansions, and now the brand providing “better chicken” has opened its 100th location – just before the end of the year.
The brand has celebrated nearly 20 new franchise openings this year, having dived into the business model some six years ago. Starting in Arkansas, Slim Chickens has since expanded into markets including Colorado and Tennesee.
“The momentum of our brand is outstanding. We are flying past the 100-unit mark,” said Jackie Lobdell, executive director of franchise development. “As we look to next year, we have at least 30 franchise openings planned and exciting multi-unit franchise deals in the works.”
On top of the now 100 restaurants open in various international markets, Slim Chickens has a further 350 franchise locations in development. This will bring the brand well on its way to achieving its goal of 600 units open in 10 years.
“We’re excited to surpass expectations as groups continue to take notice of our red-hot and differentiated brand, streamlined operations, strong unit economics, and unmatched training program,” said Lobdell.
