German Doner Kebab makes two additions to its leadership team

Mike Brouwers and Georgina Cavendish are set to join the brand’s leadership team

Mike Brouwers and Georgina Cavendish are set to join the brand’s leadership team.

The brand has made two new additions to its leadership team to support its global growth strategies.

Mike Brouwers is the new senior director of marketing for GDK U.K. and Europe. Brouwers is an award-winning marketing director with over 25 years of experience. He has worked with numerous international FMCG companies and worked with Subway as its regional marketing director for Europe. Previously, he worked as a global brand director at Diageo.

“I am looking forward to coming onboard at GDK. We have a wonderful team here, and I am excited to continue forging on with our innovative marketing initiatives to really build a brand that responds to our consumer’s needs,” said Brouwers.

Georgina Cavendish joins GDK as its new chief financial officer (CFO). Cavendish came over from another brand in the Hero Brands’ portfolio, Island Poke, where she worked as the finance director. She has worked at numerous companies in her career including Hilton and Benito’s Hat.

“I am excited to be joining GDK at such a key phase in its international growth strategy. I’ve gained a wealth of experience from working with Hero Brands and I am looking forward to delving deeper into the GDK business and all it has to offer,” said Cavendish.

The brand continues to grow internationally, and these appointments reflect the period of growth GDK finds itself in.

“We are delighted to be welcoming Mike and Georgina to the GDK family. Mike is a strategic thinker and has the knowledge and wisdom to drive our business forward. Likewise, Georgina has a wealth of fast-casual dining and start-up experience,” said Imran Sayeed, CEO of GDK International.

“They both will be instrumental in driving marketing initiatives across our network and will further reinforce GDK as a brand of the future.”

The Hero Brands owned kebab specialist has over 90 locations worldwide and recently opened its first American location in New Jersey.
