How Bodystreet is handling the COVID-19 crisis like a leader.

Within just a few years, Bodystreet has managed to leave its competitors far behind in the field of electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) and become the world’s market leader, with 300 boutique fitness studios in six different countries.

Thanks to the exemplary management during the COVID-19 crisis, Bodystreet was able to extend its lead even further. During this time of crisis, Bodystreet has managed to focus on the essentials and continues its technological transformation.

“Our business model allows the highest hygiene standards, is crisis-proof, and is certainly one of the winners in the corona period,” says Emma Lehner, co-founder. “We are currently experiencing great momentum when it comes to our digital transformation. The digital customer journey and the increasing level of automation are truly exciting.”

BODYSTREET ONLINE WORKOUTS

The digital experience has developed like never before. During the lockdown, Bodystreet has launched Bodystreet Online Workouts in livestreams, as well as online consulting as an alternative to a studio visit.

“Within just a few years, Bodystreet has managed to leave its competitors far behind in the field of electrical muscle stimulation and has become the world’s market leader”

In addition, Bodystreet is in the middle of relaunching the Bodystreet website worldwide into a true local interaction tool; from price selection, trial training registration, payment and appointment booking, to training support in the living room. To further improve the digital customer journey, Bodystreet has been able to set up the Bodystreet app and the Bodystreet e-store where Bodystreet nutrition products can be purchased.

“Digitalization has been on our minds for a long time,” says Matthias Lehner, CEO. “In view of the worldwide corona crisis, it has now gained even more speed.”

SUPPORTING STAFF WHEN IT’S NEEDED MOST

Equally important, Bodystreet’s headquarters has thought about its employees. Thanks to short-time working, the company has been able to keep all its employees on the payroll. Not just that, the Bodystreet global headquarters has managed to add new specialists to the team since June 2020. A success for Bodystreet and a great performance promise for even better support services for its franchisees.

The support of the franchisees has top priority, especially in the current situation. Through constant and regular communication via webinars on current topics, and also through support in legal proceedings, the headquarters were able to support the partners. After the first closures, the studios could be reopened much faster.

The Bodystreet global headquarters has found a way through this crisis: a strong presence and assistance to its franchisees, but also the reinforcement of the digitalization of its processes, always with the future of the members, studio employees, franchisees, and headquarters employees in mind. Bodystreet shows that whoever sticks together in times like these, survives them together, and emerges even stronger.
