“Just as we curate the best products from the coffee beans to the breakfast items and everything in between, we also curate relationships with some of the best vendors in the world. From our world-changing, B-corp certified coffee roaster, Coda Coffee, to the small batch craft chai from CharlieJoe Chai, the impact we can have on these companies is so rewarding and as we grow, so too will their dreams and success,” says Brandon Knudsen, Ziggi’s CEO, and co-founder.

How it all began

This commitment to ‘people-first’ comes down to an impressive story of humble beginnings starting 18 years ago. When co-founder husband-wife team Brandon and Camrin Knudsen started Ziggi’s, they had little more than a dream and the type of determination legends are made from.

“In the early days, it was just us, so we knew every vendor and every customer personally. We had genuine relationships with everyone we encountered for the business on both sides of the counter. Over the years, this turned into a way of life, a foundation that we built the Ziggi’s brand on; authentic relationships with incredible people,” says Camrin Knudsen, Ziggi’s COO and co-founder.

Impact in every part of the business

The lifeblood that carries these values through the corporate team and leadership at Ziggi’s certainly translates down to the franchisees. The same care taken to choose products and vendors is adhered to when bringing on new franchisees to the Ziggi’s family.

“We are fiercely relentless in the pursuit of finding franchisees that are a perfect match for the Ziggi’s brand and culture. We take great pride in a mutual investigation process that ensures we grow the brand with franchisees that will be good stewards of the Ziggi’s culture in their communities,” says Justin Livingston, vice president of franchise development. “We have created a franchise system of amazing folks that will carry the brand into an incredible future and change communities all over the country.”

A peak behind the curtain

Ziggi’s offers a strong depth-of-bench and unrivaled support to its franchisees. From a supportive launch program spanning from site selection to store opening, HQ owner and manager training in Colorado, a training team on site that is the best in the business, to ongoing marketing and operational support, nothing is left to chance.

“Since we first discovered Ziggi’s on our honeymoon in 2019, we have been blown away by the great service and great coffee, we just knew we had to be a part of it. Since signing, we have received incredible support from the entire leadership team. They walked us through the entire process of picking a location, getting our café/drive-thru built and open, establishing our overall project budget, navigating lease terms, the list goes on and on,” says Texas franchisee, David King. “Since opening, they have continued to support us through product development, marketing, seasonal campaigns and social media presence, which allows us to truly focus on keeping our customers happy and engaging with our community. We had no idea how much ongoing support we would receive from the team; they are always there to help us, coach us, guide us and offer solutions. Their support and responsiveness have made all the difference in running our successful Ziggi’s location in Katy, Texas.”

One example of the support system is evident in its high-energy, ‘family reunion style’ annual conference where franchisees come to learn, network and connect to others in the family to share best practices and develop lifelong friendships.
