If you’ve been dreaming of business ownership, you must have wondered: can I run a profitable business, while at the same time serving people in my community, helping them when they need help the most? PuroClean is one of the fastest-growing restoration and remediation brands in the country that does just that. The world-class brand recently celebrated the company’s most successful year-to-date in 2021.

Care about your customers and community

The brand seeks candidates whose goals align with its award-winning culture, built upon three pillars including servant leadership, extreme ownership, and active collaboration.

Servant leadership is defined as leading your team boldly with the heart of a servant, and for franchise owners this is fundamental. As a leader, you are there with the sole purpose of helping your team and in turn, your community, and our network leads by example.

The notion of extreme ownership piggybacks off of that sentiment, which is: “Be publicly accountable to demonstrate that your word is your bond.”

Finally, active collaboration refers to working hand-in-hand with regional directors throughout the country as well as the home office support team, to operate as one unified force in order to achieve the goals. As “The Paramedics of Property Damage,” culture rests in the mutual trust built between the company and the franchise network.

PuroClean franchise owners work together towards one common goal – being the choice restoration and remediation brand for the people in their community. By placing an emphasis on its robust recruitment programs and maintaining an open line of communication with prospective franchise owners, PuroClean ensures that it is onboarding candidates who fit the PuroClean Way.

What sets PuroClean apart from competitors is the support received from the home office, because at the South Florida headquarters, the corporate team places the franchise owners first, working tirelessly around the clock to ensure that processes are streamlined, help is given, and all needs are being met. Having exceeded the 2021 goal of 70 new franchises in the United States, in 2022 the dedicated franchise development team aims to go further.

Getting started at the PuroClean academy

The home office team prioritizes support throughout the upstart and training processes, both getting new franchise owners onboarded quickly and efficiently, and maintaining a cutting-edge library of continuing education opportunities for owners who have been a part of PuroClean for many years.

Throughout the first few months, prospective franchisees are in constant contact with PuroClean’s right start onboarding team, offering opportunities to engage with PuroClean’s corporate divisions and existing franchise owners. Upon signing, new franchise owners go through a comprehensive training program at the PuroClean Academy in Tamarac, Florida, where they receive hands-on instruction at PuroClean’s state-of-the-art facilities, including the Flood House, an interactive life-sized installation that serves as the focal point of real-life practical instruction; one of only 27 in the world.

This premier ASD facility assists in providing the very highest level of training available anywhere and has provided IICRC certifications to more than 1,200 PuroClean team members and insurance professionals since it was established in 2011. PuroClean franchise owners and their teams also have access to the online learning center, a virtual database of courses and training material available 24/7, providing added support to the growing network of 375 franchises nationwide.

The leadership team put their heads together in recent years amid the COVID-19 pandemic to immediately develop new courses and training initiatives around new service offerings; this ensures that owners are prepared for anything they may face. By immediately filling the need to move online, the team was able to digitize many resources for owners to ensure they had the support they needed throughout this pandemic and prioritized the conversation to strive to be better each day, illustrating a true “one team” approach.

A commitment to giving back

The PuroClean Cares Program is another differentiator of the brand, developed to serve communities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The initiative, which encourages all PuroClean franchise owners to give back, had an overwhelming response throughout every corner of the country. From food drives and sizable financial contributions, to complimentary or reduced-priced restoration services, owners and their dedicated teams continue to make a positive impact on communities across North America.

In 2021, PuroClean home office raised over $15,000 on behalf of PuroClean Cares, exceeding its goal of $10,000 for Feeding South Florida, a local chapter of the Feeding America organization. Recognizing PuroClean’s focus on military veteran initiatives, Feeding South Florida allocated the proceeds directly to local South Florida veterans in need.

When you invest in a PuroClean franchise, you are also investing in the reputation of relentless customer service and high-quality restoration work that the PuroClean brand is known for. An ideal candidate is an individual who has a desire to be in business for themselves, give back to the community with compassion and empathy, and wishes to succeed by helping others.

The growth of the business is built upon the true collaboration and hard work of franchise owners coming together throughout the country to cooperate not only during major weather events, but on a regular basis through national and regional meetings designed to offer advice and insight on strategies to build stronger businesses.

The diverse makeup of ownership brings together perspectives from all ages and backgrounds, both personal and professional, to connect with one another and gain a unique perspective.

From hurricanes to flash floods to mold infestations, each franchise owner in turn does so much for their communities during their customers’ most stressful moments and times of need, jumping into immediate action on the ground, working with insurance partners to mitigate costs and damages for homes and properties everywhere.

“Our goal every year is to come out stronger, building upon our foundation and creating new value for our franchise owners and customers,” said Steve White, president and COO of PuroClean. “After an incredible year, we have our sights set on 2022 and know there’s an exciting road ahead for us filled with new faces and endless possibilities.”

Collaboration at the core

“Our franchise owners, leadership, and support teams are direct contributors to the successes of our organization, and we couldn’t be prouder of the work that took place in 2021, as well as all that we see on the horizon for our network in 2022,” said Mark W. Davis, PuroClean CEO and chairman.
