Amber Martinez assumes the role of chief operating officer after leaving Crunch! And YogaWorks

The drum-inspired cardio workout brand, POUND Rockout. Workout has appointed Amber Martinez as its new chief operating officer (COO). Martinez will oversee global sales and operations for nearly 30,000 POUND instructors and 8,000 venue partners across 107 countries.  

“I believe group fitness is the heartbeat of the gym industry and that bringing community-driven, accessible workouts are the key to reigniting it,” said Martinez. 

“At this stage in my career, what I do is personal. Joining the POUND team in an exciting new position isn’t just about the role and goals, but even more so, about joining a team where what we do really matters and where people are genuinely our number one priority.” 

Martinez brings a deep understanding of the fitness industry after her time with Crunch! And YogaWorks. 

“Amber brings a highly successful track record of growth and has always authentically put people, culture, and purpose first – something I find pretty rare,” said Kirsten Potenza, founder and CEO of POUND Rockout. Workout. 

“Plus, her experience serving and scaling in the brick and mortar space positions us well for the future. We know 2022 will be a monumental year for us. A lot of what we’ve built into our business and brand is very much what the world needs right now.” 

POUND will expand its programs to reach both the youth and aging populations to enable these groups to thrive.
