Established in the East and Southeast, Bruster’s Real Ice Cream is making inroads into markets in the South and West of the U.S. 15 new openings are planned for 2018, including one in Las Vegas.

Bruster’s opened its first Memphis shop in January. Late last year the brand’s sixth southern California location opened in the Los Angeles suburb of Torrance. In total, the brand has commitments for 33 more restaurants, with 15 scheduled to open this year. Six are under construction in San Antonio and Dallas, Texas; Phoenix, Arizona; Stockton, California; Windermere, Florida; and Hagerstown, Maryland.

CEO Jim Sahene said, “These new locations and development agreements are very significant because they represent growth in both new and established markets. Prospective franchisees are increasingly recognizing that Bruster’s is a unique concept with tremendous potential, which is supported by our strong sales performance.”

There are nearly 200 independently owned Bruster’s locations in 20 states, Guyana and South Korea.
