Phenix Salon Suites sees explosive growth in 2022 as it now seeks to enter new international markets

Phenix Salon Suites is a semi-absentee ownership model and a prime investment opportunity for entrepreneurs who are looking to diversify their portfolios without a large time commitment. Each Phenix location offers a number of upscale, individual suites for independent lifestyle professionals to rent and operate their own businesses.

This model offers a strong R.O.I. for franchise owners looking to build a stable and predictable recurring revenue business. Founded in 2007 by Gina Rivera, an independent hairstylist, the brand’s model is a win/ win for everyone; franchisees, lifestyle professionals and customers.

Ready for entry into new international territories

Since the brand began franchising in 2012, it has steadily grown its presence in the U.S. to over 360 locations and is now focused on both national and international expansion. With a record year of development in 2022, so far Phenix has signed more than 40 franchise agreements and opened its first international location in the U.K., proving the model’s potential for success in international markets. Phenix also signed an agreement to develop eight locations in Sweden. All countries with self-employment and beauty cultures can be successful with this real estate/co-working model.

“With rapid growth in the U.S. and now the U.K., Phenix is a leader in the salon suites industry. We offer a strong investment for franchisees without the hassle of inventory and employees and provides an incredible benefit to lifestyle professionals,” said Lesley Hawks, director of global development at Phenix. “We are ramping up our focus on international expansion and looking for qualified entrepreneurs to join our proven, recession-resistant model which we know will succeed in many markets.”

Franchisees double down with Phenix

As a testament to the strength of the Phenix model, most of the brand’s growth this year has been through multi-unit development deals with existing franchisees, who earned profits even in the midst of a pandemic. Phenix saw a 344 per cent increase in salon professional inquiries in the last two years and now maintains an average occupancy rate of 95 per cent.

The continued growth throughout trying times proved that the model is recession-resistant and offers long-term investment returns for its franchisees. With minimal time commitments, robust corporate support and a strong interest from lifestyle professionals looking for self-employment opportunities, there has never been a better time to invest in Phenix.

In an effort to accelerate international development, Phenix partnered with Edwards Global Services (EGS), a group that provides international expansion solutions for U.S. franchise brands, in March of 2022. Working with Lesley Hawks, EGS helps to identify, qualify, sign and support international franchisees.
