The Little Gym president and CEO Nancy Bigley receives International Franchise Association’s Crystal Compass Award

The women’s franchise committee has recognized the hard work of brand president and CEO, Nancy Bigley

The International Franchise Association (IFA) has chosen Nancy Bigley to receive its coveted Crystal Compass award, which is given by the women’s franchise committee. This award is for a figure in the franchise industry who has made significant contributions to franchising through leadership roles, their organization or the franchising community at large.

The Little Gym is a brand designed for the physical exercise and enrichment of children aged between four months and 12 years. The Unleashed Brands owned concept had Bigley named as its CEO and brand president in October 2021 to grow the franchise and expand its footprint.

“Nancy has made an incredible mark on franchising, and her leadership is taking the industry to new levels,” said Matthew Haller, president and CEO of the IFA.

“With over 25 years’ experience in franchising across a variety of brands and sectors, Nancy understands the value of the franchise business model and the positive impact it can have on the lives it touches.”

The award was established in 2001 and was presented at the Annual Leadership Conference at the IFA’s 62nd Annual Convention in San Diego.

“I am beyond grateful to receive such a prestigious honor amongst my well-respected peers,” said Bigley.

“This award signifies the culmination of my hard work and dedicated journey in the world of franchising. Success is never achieved alone. Thus, I’d like to thank everyone who has been a part of my career journey and helped me along the way, including the IFA. I am also thankful to the Women’s Franchise Committee for acknowledging me for this very special recognition.”

Bigley led Twist Brands before taking up her current position. She managed brands such as Twist, Color Me Mine and Chesapeake Ceramics. Bigley is a veteran of the franchising industry, with over 25 years of experience to her name and has worked with brands such as Dunkin’ America and the The Dwyer Group, now known as Neighborly.
