Hero Brands has announced the appointment of Salman Siddiqui as its new group corporate development director. Siddiqui has been appointed to help drive brands’ plans and to help them meet their ambitions.
“I am excited to be joining Hero Brands, and taking on the role of group corporate development director,” said Siddiqui.
“Hero Brands has an impressive, and rapidly growing stable of the brands of the future, and I am looking forward to playing my part in successfully implementing the group’s innovative, cross-vertical growth plans.”
He has worked with world-leading investment firm KPMG as well as the Qatar Investment Authority, which saw him work in close proximity with the likes of Harrods, Volkswagen, Miramax, and Sainsbury’s. In this role, held investment management and mergers and acquisitions transaction roles across multiple sectors from retail to media, telecoms and technology.
Siddiqui will play a central role in implementing the growth strategy of Hero Brands, as well as advancing key acquisition strategies for some brands. Hero Brands has the likes of German Doner Kebab, Choppaluna, Island Poke and more in its portfolio.
