The third restaurant to open in Orlando is a promising sign of things to come for the better-burger brand.

MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes, a fast-casual restaurant franchise operating in the better-burger space, has opened its third Orlando location in partnership with experienced multi-unit Ben & Jerry’s franchisee, Tareq Qarman.

The new site, located at 8050 International Dr., Hollywood Plaza, is the brand’s largest restaurant to date, with 4,100 square feet ready to serve customers.

“I first discovered MOOYAH on Instagram. When I got a chance to taste the brand’s ‘better burgers,’ I thought it was amazing,” said Qarman. “I loved the customizable concept, and as an ice cream guy, I was really impressed with the milkshakes. They use real ice cream, not just sugar and milk. They care about creating a quality product. That’s what sold me.”

Qarman first entered the franchising game in 2010, when he opened his first Ben & Jerry’s location at the Hollywood Plaza. Now with six locations in the area, he’s opening his first MOOYAH restaurant in the same plaza he started at.

The new location includes dining room seating zones created to accommodate community dining, dedicated third-party delivery and pickup shelving, digital menu boards, and an overall modern vibe. It has the ability to hold 134 customers at any time, so it can comply with COVID-19 safety regulations implemented by the state of Orlando and the MOOYAH brand.

“As Tareq opens his first MOOYAH restaurant, we are looking forward to expanding our presence across Orlando with him,” said MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes president Tony Darden. “Orlando residents are starting to crave our quality menu, and now, even more visitors will gain additional access to our ‘better burgers’ and superior customer service. With Orlando being a top tourist destination in the U.S., we are hopeful that even more guests will fall in love with our brand and want to become franchise owners in their hometowns, helping expand the MOOYAH footprint across America.”

Orlando currently has two additional MOOYAH locations open in the state, and the brand is keen to partner with new franchise owners to bring at least 15 MOOYAH restaurants to the Greater Orlando area; creating upward of 350 jobs in the region.
