Dawn Ray, an experienced leader in communications and public relations, has joined the expanding parent company of multiple household brands

Dawn Ray, an experienced leader in communications and public relations, has joined the expanding parent company of multiple household brands.

Dawn Ray, who has a storied career in public relations at organizations such as Burson, Cohn & Wolfe, has been appointed senior vice president of corporate communications for Focus Brands.

In her new role, Ray will work closely with the parent company’s multiple franchises, including Auntie Anne’s, Cinnabon, Jamba, Moe’s Southwest Grill, and Schlotzsky’s. Her position will see Ray elevate the company’s profile with key audiences worldwide, as well as drive awareness for Focus Brands’ several operations. To date, the parent company’s portfolio consists of more than 6,000 locations.

Ray’s experience includes tenure at Hilton, at which she led public relations campaigns for Embassy Suites, Homewood Suites by Hilton, and Hilton Garden Inn, as well as launching two of the organization’s most successful brands in its 100-year history: Curio Collection, and Canopy by Hilton.

“We are thrilled to welcome Dawn to our Executive Leadership Team at Focus Brands,” said Jim Holthouser, CEO. “Dawn’s business acumen and leadership in communications and public relations for some of the world’s most well-known brands will be an asset to the company as we engage our stakeholders and prospects in new and evolving markets.”
