CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. has announced the opening of its 300th Carl’s Jr. restaurant in Mexico, 30 years after opening its first location in the country located in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon in 1991

CKE Restaurants Holdings, Inc. (CKE) has announced the opening of its 300th Carl’s Jr. restaurant in Mexico, 30 years after opening its first location in the country located in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon in 1991.

The new restaurant in Guadalajara, Jalisco marks yet another milestone for Carl’s Jr., with CKE planning to open an additional 100 restaurants in the country by 2024.

Carl’s Jr. restaurants have enjoyed positive sales growth in 10 of the last 11 years in Mexico. Globally, CKE owns or franchises nearly 1,000 Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s restaurants in over 40 countries with plans to double its international presence to 2,000 restaurants in the next five years.

Current restaurant development efforts will see CKE bringing its menu across the world, with accelerated development occurring in Australia, China, Canada, and Western Europe, among other key markets.

“As a country that has been integral to CKE International’s growth over the past 30 years, we’re thrilled to be celebrating the opening of Mexico’s 300th restaurant,” said Mike Woida, President of CKE International. “This milestone moment is only the start, as we plan to bring Carl’s Jr. to even more regions in Mexico and across the world in the months and years to come so more people can experience and enjoy the innovative flavors we’re known and loved for.”

Since its inception, Carl’s Jr. has become known for its beef burgers, hand-breaded chicken tenders, hand-scooped milkshakes and more. Globally, Carl’s Jr. continues to infuse local flavors into their menu offerings with products like the Morita Classic Burger and Guajillo Classic Burger available in Mexico.
