Arby’s signs historic deal to enter Saudi Arabia

The sandwich specialist has teamed up with one of Dunkin’s largest franchisees to introduce the brand to Saudis

Arby’s has today announced the signing of a historic master franchise agreement with Shahia Foods Limited Company, one of Dunkin’s largest licensees in the world, and responsible for the brand’s growth in Saudi Arabia. The first restaurants are expected to open later in the year. 

Shahia Foods Limited Company is one of the most dominant multi-unit restaurant operators and master franchisee’s for the Dunkin’s brand in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. Shahia Foods operates over 500 Dunkin’s locations in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Germany. 

“We are thrilled to expand our strong relationship with Shahia Foods to bring Arby’s premium meat sandwiches to guests across Saudi Arabia,” said Michael Haley, president and managing director of international for Inspire Brands.

Arby’s currently operates more than 3,500 restaurants globally, including more than 150 locations across Canada, Mexico, Turkey, South Korea, Japan, and Egypt.
