Accor Group announces the signing of three hotels

The group has signed agreements with three hotels in Bredbury, Dumfries and Romford

The group has signed agreements with three hotels in Bredbury, Dumfries and Romford.

The global hospitality provider, Accor, has announced the signing of three properties with a combined 334 rooms.

The Bredbury Hall and Dumfries hotel will join the group’s Mercure brand, which now numbers over 900 hotels across 61 countries. This brand focuses on giving guests a unique and immersive local experience, with each hotel designed slightly differently. The Mercure brand hotels will now number 88 in the U.K.

The Mercure Bredbury Hall hotel will join the group in Q4 of this year, pending significant refurbishment and upgrades in partnership with Vine Hotels, a long-term and trusted partner of the group.

The Mercure Dumfries hotel will have 60 rooms and is slated to open in 2022, in partnership with the Splendid Hospitality Group.

The ibis Styles Romford, signed with Romford South Limited will offer 125-rooms in the heart of Romford. The hotel will be located 50 yards from Romford station and may open as early as Q1 2022. Much like the rest of the ibis range, the hotel will be designed with a creative and playful atmosphere in mind.

“As this latest wave of summer signings signify, Accor’s non-standardized brands are particularly appealing to hotel developers and owners who wish to retain the services, style and character of the boutique hotels and to delight guests looking for a unique design and storytelling,” said Philip Lassman, VP development Accor Northern Europe.

“The strength of our non-standardized and conversion brand portfolio such as the Mercure and ibis Styles brands, are attractive solutions for owners seeking global weight and local appeal.

“Accor has received growing interest from hoteliers looking for the associated benefits that a global hospitality group can provide, such as Accor 360° solutions.

“Our powerful range of specialized offerings help boost revenue, optimize costs and maximize return on investment, bringing expertise and support to hoteliers in areas such as distribution, loyalty programming, purchasing, technology, sales, marketing and sustainability programs.

“We are proud our continued strength is enabling us to further develop projects in the U.K. with great partners.”
