Checkers & Rally’s has partnered up with Presto, a leading restaurant hospitality technology company, to serve as the exclusive providers of automated voice ordering services at the brand’s corporate-owned stores. The QSR brand began rolling the technology out from January 10 onwards.
Presto’s suite of solutions are designed to help restaurants cope with the labor shortage, maximize the efficiency of staff on-site, improve upselling and accuracy of orders. The Presto systems are planned to be deployed in all Checkers & Rally’s corporate-owned stores across the U.S. in 2022.
The brand conducted a careful trial of Presto’s technology in 2021 over a four month period. During this period, the voice control technology delivered more accurate orders, higher automation and 98 per cent of orders were completely with little to no staff intervention. The system was also able to cope with infrequently ordered menu items and a variety of accents.

The brand hopes that the successful roll-out of the voice assisted A.I. technology will lead to staff spending more time in parts of the business that rely on humans.
