Taffer’s Tavern signs 10-unit franchising deal for Florida and Georgia

With an inaugural site now open in Alpharetta, Taffer’s Tavern is heading to the Sunshine State while expanding its presence in Georgia.

Taffer’s Tavern has inked a 10-unit deal with experienced restauranteur Nilesh Patel to bring new locations to multiple areas of Florida, as well as further growth within Georgia.

The initial focus for these new sites will be the Orlando metro area, Gainesville, Jacksonville, and Panhandle regions.

“Signing on to Taffer’s Tavern was an easy decision for me, as Jon has an excellent reputation,” said franchisee Nilesh Patel. “I believe the Taffer’s Tavern brand has tremendous power to grow, especially at a time when consumers are eager to enjoy dining out again, so we wanted to commit early with a large territory. Plus, the restaurant, bar, and kitchen designs and equipment are truly future-proof. When you add Jon’s name, it is like a cherry on top.”

The first Taffer’s Tavern opened last fall in Alpharetta, Georgia, and the brand has already secured 22 units in the greater Las Vegas, Boston, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta areas. Featuring elevated tavern food and the industry’s highest safety standards for both guests and staff, the concept is continuing to attract investment.

“I’ve spent a lot of time in Florida, and I am genuinely excited for the good people of this fine state to get to know Taffer’s Tavern,” said Jon Taffer. “Nil is a successful, high volume restaurant and bar operator who understands the standards and high expectations required to be successful in this region, and we couldn’t be more pleased to have him as our partner.”

Taffer’s Tavern’s operations require minimal need for food handling and preparation, reducing back-of-house labor. Because of its simplified cooking techniques, less experienced kitchen staff are required and cook times are reduced by 50 to 90 per cent, when compared to traditional kitchens.

To facilitate ongoing growth, Taffer’s Tavern has partnered with Fransmart and is seeking experienced franchisees to bring the concept to the 50 largest media markets in North America.
