CAVAVIN has been a French success story for 32 years. This story started in 1985 when Michel Bourel, founder and current chairman of CAVAVIN, single-handedly opened his first cellar.

Through the pooling of purchases he organized, and thanks to the logistic platform that he developed, he was soon associated with other cellar owners. CAVAVIN brings to its franchisees a wide range of products covering the entire price spectrum and all customer tastes, from really affordable items (super quality/price ratio) to premium products. Depending on each cellar positioning and customer portfolio, we fine-tune the selection of products to fit their customer base.

In addition to the usual portfolio of French and world class wines, CAVAVIN is also open-minded when it comes to discussing customization to match local habits, (a percentage of local wines can be negotiated in addition to CAVAVIN’s offers). The other key success factors of the concept are based on a consumer-friendly and easy-to-understand shop concept, and high end presentation.

Our French ratio for a single unit retail store is:

– Year 3 reachable turnover of €1,000,000 if three efficient persons and with a delivery service

– A 30-40% growth margin (based on French competitive market).

For a master franchisee the profitability including distribution margin is at least at the same level.
