Roto-Rooter Services Company, a North American plumbing and drain cleaning franchise with over 500 corporate-owned and franchised locations, has announced the appointment of Mike Polyak to senior VP of operations. In this new role, he will report directly to Roto-Rooter president, Robert Goldschmidt.

Polyak first joined Roto-Rooter in 2002 as a general manager for the brand in Chicago, and six months later, he was promoted to regional vice president of Roto-Rooter’s Central Region.

He most recently served as regional vice president of the brand’s Midwest Region, and in seven of the last 12 years, regions under his leadership won the company’s “Region of the Year” award.

Prior to joining Roto-Rooter, Polyak spent 18 years at Toys “R” Us, and also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Purdue University.

With its current footprint, Roto-Rooter serves approximately 91 per cent of the U.S. population, and 40 per cent of Canada. The brand also has master franchises in the republics of Indonesia and Singapore, and the Philippines.
